We get a number of requests for applications for dogs.
Our mission is to see that these canines get the retirement and furever home that they deserve.
Lost Mountain Group receives a number of applications to adopt our canines.
These dogs have done their service and are RETIRED. They have served with honor, and are to be given their dignity to a good life.
There is no set frequency when we have canines available, as we are at the mercy of our Partners. Please be understanding that there can be a lengthy waiting period to receive a canine after you’ve applied as there is no set “waiting period” and we can not guarantee that you will receive a canine from us.
Please know that we make every effort to find the right home for each of the retired MWD’s that has been entrusted to us. Primarily the canines that we have for placement are retired Military Working Dogs or Contract Working Dogs and may have been previously owned by the Government. Being that our Founder is retired law enforcement, we occasionally receive retired police dogs, however, we do not know when these dogs will come available. Please note that these dogs are retired regardless of age and SHALL NOT be worked in any capacity.
The Lost Mountain Group Canine Companion Adoption Application is very detailed as we try to make every effort to thoroughly review our applicants for suitability for our canines.
